Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services, experiences, workshops, coaching, resources and educational materials offered through Hygg-Ed by Ren Stratford.

By booking, purchasing, attending or participating in any Hygg-Ed service, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.

Hygg-Ed is committed to providing calm, supportive and restorative experiences for women, schools, educators and children through a creative and restorative approach.

3. Coaching Disclaimer

Hygg-Ed coaching and restorative conversations are designed to support reflection, wellbeing, life transitions and personal growth.
​
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy or medical treatment.
​
Hygg-Ed does not diagnose, treat or cure medical or mental health conditions.
​
Participants experiencing significant mental health difficulties or crisis are encouraged to seek support from an appropriately qualified medical or mental health professional.
​
Any decisions made following coaching sessions remain the responsibility of the individual client.
4. Bookings & Payments
1:1 Coaching
​
Payment is required in advance to secure bookings.
​
Sessions are confirmed once payment has been received.
​
Talks, Workshops & School Bookings
​
A deposit may be required to secure dates.
​
The remaining balance must be paid within the agreed timeframe stated on the invoice.
​
Travel and accommodation expenses (where applicable) will be discussed and agreed in advance.
​
Online Resources & Digital Downloads
​
Digital resources are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed.
​
​
5. Cancellation Policy
1:1 Coaching
​
-
48 hours or more notice: session may be rearranged.
-
Less than 48 hours notice: full payment may still apply.
-
Failure to attend without notice may result in the full session fee being charged.
Talks, Workshops & School Bookings
If a school, organisation or individual cancels within:
​
-
28 days of the event date: deposit may be retained.
-
14 days of the event date: up to 50% of the agreed fee may be payable.
-
7 days or fewer: full payment may be required.
Hygg-Ed will always aim to rearrange bookings where possible.
Cancellation by Hygg-Ed
In the event of illness, emergency, unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond reasonable control, Hygg-Ed reserves the right to postpone or cancel sessions.

Alternative dates will be offered where possible.
​
6. Pause in Nature & Outdoor Sessions
Nature of Sessions
Pause in Nature and Back to Basics sessions are restorative outdoor experiences inspired by creative and nature-based approaches.

Sessions may include:
​

reflective walks

outdoor conversation
-
campfire activities
-
simple nature-based tasks
-
creative reflection
-
mindful pauses
-
Forest School inspired experiences
These are restorative wellbeing experiences and not survival training or adventure activities.
Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for:
​
-
wearing suitable outdoor clothing and footwear
-
informing Hygg-Ed of relevant medical conditions, allergies or injuries
-
bringing any required medication
-
behaving respectfully toward others and the environment
Participants attend at their own discretion and accept that outdoor environments naturally include uneven ground, mud, weather changes and natural hazards.
Weather Policy
Sessions will proceed in most typical weather conditions where safe and appropriate.
In cases of:

severe weather
-
storms
-
high winds
-
flooding
-
unsafe ground conditions
-
extreme heat
sessions may be rearranged.
The decision regarding safety rests solely with Hygg-Ed.
Toilets & Facilities
Some outdoor locations may have limited or no toilet facilities.
​
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are comfortable with the nature of the environment before attending.
​
Where facilities are available, details will be shared in advance.
Location Information
For safeguarding, privacy and land-access reasons, exact Pause in Nature locations may only be shared with confirmed participants shortly before the session.
Small Group Structure
Pause in Nature sessions are intentionally kept small to create a calm and supportive environment.
Group sizes are intentionally limited.
7. Health & Safety
Hygg-Ed takes reasonable steps to provide safe and supportive environments.
​
However, participation in any service or activity is undertaken voluntarily.
​
Participants remain responsible for their own physical wellbeing, personal belongings and personal decisions.
​
Where relevant:

public liability insurance is held
-
first aid training/certification is maintained
-
appropriate risk assessments may be carried out
8. Schools, Organisations & Educational Settings
Responsibility of Schools
Schools and organisations remain responsible for:
​
-
safeguarding procedures
-
supervision ratios
-
medical information
-
behaviour management
-
emergency contacts
-
site-specific risk management
Hygg-Ed works collaboratively with schools but does not replace existing safeguarding or school responsibilities.
Forest School & Outdoor Activities
Any outdoor or nature-based educational sessions delivered within schools remain subject to:

school approval
-
weather suitability
-
appropriate supervision
-
site safety
Schools remain responsible for ensuring parental permissions where required.
9. Supporting Staff Wellbeing
Wellbeing support offered through Hygg-Ed is intended to provide reflective, restorative and supportive experiences for staff and organisations.
​
Hygg-Ed cannot guarantee specific emotional, organisational or wellbeing outcomes.
​
Any implementation of recommendations remains the responsibility of the school or organisation.
10. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All Hygg-Ed materials remain the intellectual property of Hygg-Ed and Ren Stratford unless otherwise stated.

Materials may not be:

copied

reproduced

without prior written permission.
11. Little Who Copyright & Illustration Disclaimer
Little Who is an original concept and story world created by Ren Stratford.
​
All associated characters, names, stories, concepts and educational resources remain protected by copyright.
​
Some visual illustrations may incorporate a blend of original creative direction, photographic inspiration and AI-assisted illustration tools as part of the artistic development process.
​
These visuals remain part of the protected Hygg-Ed and Little Who creative ecosystem.
12. Photography & Media
Hygg-Ed may occasionally capture photographs, audio or video for promotional or reflective purposes.
​
Permission will always be sought where appropriate.
​
No participant images will be shared publicly without consent.
​
Schools remain responsible for informing Hygg-Ed of any photography restrictions.
13. Confidentiality
Personal information shared during coaching or restorative conversations will be treated respectfully and confidentially.

However, confidentiality may need to be broken if there is concern regarding:
​

risk of harm
-
illegal activity
-
serious welfare concerns
Schools and organisations should note that safeguarding responsibilities always take priority.
14. Website & Resource Use
All information provided on the Hygg-Ed website is intended for general informational purposes only.
Hygg-Ed reserves the right to:

update services
-
amend pricing
-
modify content
-
change availability
without prior notice.
15. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hygg-Ed accepts no liability for:
​

personal injury except where caused by negligence
-
loss or damage to personal belongings
-
indirect or consequential losses
-
decisions made following coaching or participation
-
cancellation caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control
Participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing and participation choices.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By booking, purchasing, attending or participating in any Hygg-Ed service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
