The Essence of Hygg-Ed

There was a moment, towards the end of another academic year, when I found myself standing in a drama studio
with a pile of scripts in my hands, staring somewhere between a window and a wall.

One thought in my mind resounded louder than any other -
There has to be a calmer way.

That single sentence became the beginning of Hygg-Ed. I wasn't questioning teaching. I was questioning how I was living.

I longed to spend more time outdoors. I wanted meaningful conversations, mornings that weren't rushed, and a life with greater balance, purpose and connection.

Over time, my experiences in education, pastoral care, coaching, Forest School, music, menopause, hygge and ikigai all came together. They weren't separate threads, they were different expressions of the same belief, that everyone has the right to a
Sense of BELONGING, PURPOSE and CALM

Today, whether I'm supporting schools, nurseries or individual educators, my purpose remains the same: to help people reconnect with themselves, with one another and with what truly matters and what it means to feel alive.
