Rest shouldn't be a reward we give ourselves once everything else is finished. Hygge Friday is here to help us create little pockets of calm in our day-to-day lives.
This week, I'm asking myself:
What could help me feel grounded and calm during a weekend full of birthday parties and celebrations?
🍃 An unrushed morning cup of tea or coffee.
🍃 A walk somewhere new or out in nature.
🍃 A calmer approach to my skincare routine.
🍃Creating time to bake a cake (or, in my case, adding that one to the summer wish list when I return to my mum's kitchen and have access to an actual oven!).
🍃 Giving myself some quiet time before calling it a day — perhaps a short yoga session, a good book or even a therapeutic cleaning and tidying session. After all, a tidy home can help to create a calmer mind.
